A Presença das Formigas is a Portuguese band, whose compositions blend elements of traditional and popular Portuguese music with influences from jazz, classical and world music.
It all started in 2009 when A Presença das Formigas received the Zeca Afonso Award at Festival Cantar Abril, with the original song “O Rei (A Morna Indiferença)”.

Fara brings together four musicians at the forefront of today’s young Scottish folk scene, Jennifer Austin, Kristan Harvey, Jeana Leslie and Catriona Price’s three fiddles and a piano, to produce a fiery sound rooted strongly in their upbringing among the music of Orkney.

Kedem Ensemble is a unique group of musicians from different corners of the world – Israel, Iran, Italy and Switzerland – whose repertoire is made of various world music threads and jazz improvisations.

Otava Yo was formed by Alexey Belkin, Alexey Skosirev and Dmitry Shikhardin in 2004. For inspiration they turned to Russian folk songs – not to the very old ones, but to recent songs and tunes which were popular when their parents were young. After working on its “Russian beat” concept for three years the band released a new album, “Once Upon a Time.”

It was all an accident. Or was it? Riviere noire story began in 2009. At the time, everyone had already demonstrated its dazzling talent, reached the end of a journey. Then an impalpable, yet deep push brought Pascal, Jean and Orlando together, each one of them bringing his own musical experience, intuition, and generosity.
